In 2015-2016, the NTF partnering with IIFCL-HIMCON adopted the Borsimlauguri village of insurgency infested Baska districts of Assam and turned this backward village into the first smart village of North-East, India.
The intervention includes, sanitation, water, solar and skill development works besides series of camps for Human Resource Development. Even today the components of the projects are running smoothly as NTF have made several periodical visit to the village and found that water treatment plant has been a very huge hit and self sufficient now.
