The NTF so far used its good will twice to organize the civil society for a greater cause. One is to find out how the Civil Society can play to improve the Assam-Nagaland ties and secondly how Assam can move on following the publication of the NRC. Both have far reaching impact.
Naga-Assamese Round Table (2015-2016)
The civil society of Nagaland and Assam have always being in isolation despite both are neighbours and intellectuals of both the states are known to each other. But there has never been any approach of meeting each other common ground. The NTF took that role and brought in the main civil society groups of both sides and over a period of one year organized two round tables one at Guwahati and the second one was in Kohima.
Fom the Assam Side, Axom Xahitya Xabha and All Assam Students union Joined while from the Nagaland side Naga-Ho Ho, Naga Mother Association (NMA) and Naga Students Federation(NSF) joined.
The Guwahati Round Table was in October 2015 and the Kohima round table was May 2016.
