Building Assam's Digital Civilisational Archive

A community-driven initiative preserving books, manuscripts, languages, and cultural memory — now made searchable through AI.

The Nanda Talukdar Foundation is building one of India's most ambitious community-driven digital archives — dedicated to preserving the intellectual, cultural, and linguistic heritage of Assam. What began as an effort to digitise rare books and journals has evolved into a multi-vertical initiative spanning manuscripts, endangered languages, and thematic archives. Operating with decentralised field execution and centralised technical standards, the Foundation is creating a structured, searchable knowledge ecosystem for generations to come.
