The Foundation sustains its operations through a diversified, multi-sector support architecture — combining institutional grants, publication revenues, PSU partnerships, and individual contributions. This model ensures operational continuity without dependence on any single funding source.
Grants
A substantial portion of the Foundation’s initiatives is supported through grants from philanthropic bodies, aligned institutions, and development organisations. These enable large-scale digitisation, endangered language documentation, archival infrastructure expansion, and technology integration.
Book Royalty
Revenue from publications — books, research outputs, and associated intellectual work — contributes directly to sustaining operations. This creates a self-reinforcing cycle: knowledge production supports preservation.
The Foundation has been supported by major Public Sector Undertakings and academic bodies that have contributed both infrastructure and operational continuity. Key institutional supporters include Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Oil India Limited, and Numaligarh Refinery Limited. Long-term infrastructure support — including server hosting — has been provided by the Assam Jatiya Bidyalaya Educational and Socio-economic Trust. The Foundation also works closely with universities, cultural bodies, and civil society organisations across Assam and the Northeast.
